SACRAMENTO, CA — A tragic incident unfolded early Tuesday morning on Sacramento’s Fruitridge Road when a man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a pickup truck. The accident occurred around 4:00 a.m., between Laurine Way and Lawrence Drive.
Authorities arrived at the scene to find the pedestrian had sustained fatal injuries from the collision. The driver of the pickup truck was questioned, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing. The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
