A two-vehicle collision in Citrus Heights resulted in severe injuries on April 25th. The incident, as reported by the Citrus Heights Police Department, took place on Old Ranch Road near Oak Avenue shortly after 5:00 p.m. The collision caused one of the vehicles to veer off the road and slam into a tree.
Emergency personnel from Sacramento Metro Fire were dispatched to the scene, where they had to extricate an individual trapped in one of the vehicles. The victim was then transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Citrus Heights Police Department has ruled out impairment as a contributing factor to the accident, continuing their investigation to determine the precise cause and liability.
Victims of traffic collisions often incur extensive medical costs, experience pain and suffering, and face a significant loss of income. In the event that another driver’s negligence led to the accident, those affected have the right to seek compensation for these damages. Such claims must adhere to the statute of limitations which, in California, allows for a period of up to two years following the date of the incident to file a lawsuit against the responsible party.
