Three Hospitalized Following Hit-and-Run Collision on Watt Avenue, Road Shutdown Ensues

SACRAMENTO, CA — A severe accident ensued near Florin Road and South Watt Avenue in Sacramento, resulting in three individuals being rushed to the hospital on Wednesday night. The Sacramento Metro Fire was promptly at the scene, responding to the incident reported approximately at 9:30 p.m.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the situation involved a hit-and-run scenario, with two suspects now reportedly on the run. The event has led to the current closure of South Watt Avenue in both traffic directions as the California Highway Patrol (CHP) investigates the scene.

Eyewitnesses noted one of the vehicles involved was moving at an excessively high speed, which may have been a contributing factor to the impact. At this stage, details on the conditions of the hospitalized victims remain undisclosed as authorities continue their inquiries.
