Motorcycle Collision Near Yuba City Results in Serious Injuries

In Yuba City, a motorcycle crash at the intersection of State Route 20 and Marysville Road at approximately 2:00 p.m. on April 29 has left one rider seriously injured. The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident involved a collision with a Subaru hybrid and resulted in both riders being thrown onto the roadway. One of the motorcyclists sustained major injuries and required air transport to a hospital. The accident caused a temporary blockage of the road and a grass fire that quickly spread along the south side of the highway. Recovery crews cleared the scene, allowing the lanes to reopen around 3:20 p.m. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the traffic accident detectives of CHP.
