Sacramento, CA – A major traffic incident disrupted the evening commute in Sacramento on Tuesday when a chain-reaction collision involving six vehicles took place on Interstate 5 South, close to the Sutterville Road off-ramp. The multi-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 6:08 PM and resulted in substantial injuries to several individuals.

According to reports, emergency services received the call soon after the accident occurred, with first responders reaching the scene by 6:09 PM. They worked diligently to provide medical treatment to those injured, which included at least one broken wrist and another individual suffering from a concussion. The substantial emergency presence included multiple towing services, tasked with removing the wrecked vehicles and restoring the interstate to operable conditions.

The crash caused significant disruption to the usual traffic flow, with the obstruction of multiple lanes leading to extended delays. Despite the extensive cleanup and investigation efforts, the interstate was eventually cleared and reopened to traffic by 7:18 PM.
