The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department reported that the chase initially started when deputies attempted to pull over a vehicle for a routine traffic violation. However, the driver failed to comply and sped off, instigating a pursuit. Amid the chase, the suspect’s vehicle crashed into two other cars, resulting in significant damage.
Following the collisions, the individual tried to escape the scene by abandoning the car and running away. Authorities were quick to react, deploying a sheriff’s K-9 unit to track down the suspect. The canine officer proved to be pivotal in apprehending the fugitive after a brief pursuit on foot.
