A tragic head-on collision resulted in a fatality northwest of Elverta on the afternoon of April 25. The crash, which took place on westbound Riego Road near Pacific Avenue at around 3:00 p.m., involved a Ford F-350 pickup truck hauling a trailer with a Bobcat skid-steer loader and a Toyota Camry. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the extensive collision resulted in a complete blockage of the road.
Emergency responders had to extricate one individual, who was trapped due to the accident. Both the Ford F-350 and the Toyota Camry were towed from the scene for further investigation. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until the Sacramento County Coroner’s office can notify the next of kin. CHP’s specialized traffic crash unit is currently investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal head-on crash, which can stem from various factors.
In the wake of such incidents, immediate family members can initiate legal actions to address the wrongful death. These include spouses, children, or in the absence of them, parents, and siblings of the deceased. A myriad of compensatory damages could be pursued, encompassing both economic and non-economic losses attributable to the accident.
