SACRAMENTO, Calif — In a startling incident on Sunday afternoon, law enforcement authorities apprehended a 60-something-year-old woman for driving under the influence following her high-speed collision with an apartment complex wall in Sacramento.

According to Officer Jason Fetterly, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, the woman’s vehicle penetrated the barrier and came to an abrupt halt inside a resident’s yard.

Responding units found the driver with moderate injuries, which necessitated her transportation to a local hospital for immediate medical attention. Subsequent to her treatment, she was detained on suspicion of DUI.
