Drunk Driver Crashes Through Apartment Wall and Into Yard

SACRAMENTO, Calif — In a startling incident on Sunday afternoon, law enforcement authorities apprehended a 60-something-year-old woman for driving under the influence following her high-speed collision with an apartment complex wall in Sacramento.

The event unfolded along the 2300 block of Wyda Way, where the driver, whose identity has not been released, was navigating through the alleyway adjacent to the apartment buildings. According to Officer Jason Fetterly, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, the woman’s vehicle penetrated the barrier and came to an abrupt halt inside a resident’s yard.

Responding units found the driver with moderate injuries, which necessitated her transportation to a local hospital for immediate medical attention. Subsequent to her treatment, she was detained on suspicion of DUI.
