SACRAMENTO, Calif. – In the early hours of Monday morning, a bicycle rider sustained injuries in a traffic collision that involved a semi-truck at the intersection of Mack Road and Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento. The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 A.M. on April 22, 2024.
Authorities from the California Highway Patrol were called to the scene where initial reports indicated that the semi-truck collided with the cyclist. Additionally, two other vehicles were reported to have stopped, potentially being involved in the accident. The specific details of their involvement are currently unclear and subject to ongoing investigation.
Emergency services, including the Sacramento Fire Department, were dispatched to the location of the crash. Upon arrival, responders found the bicyclist with a reported minor head injury. The extent of the cyclist’s injuries and whether they were transported to a medical facility for further treatment has not been released to the public.
