Two Men Fatally Injured in El Segundo Traffic Collision

EL SEGUNDO, CA—A tragic car accident on the early morning of June 22, 2024, resulted in the deaths of two young men on the westbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway, adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport. The catastrophic incident occurred near the Nash Street off-ramp, where authorities reported that a vehicle lost control, soared off the off-ramp, and collided with another car in the LAX FedEx Air Freight employee parking lot. The impact caused both cars to overturn.

Bryan Bolanos, 19, and Carlos Sicairos, 18, were the victims who sadly lost their lives in the crash. Emergency responders transported two additional individuals to the hospital; however, details regarding their injuries have not been disclosed. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is actively conducting a thorough investigation to identify the circumstances that led to this tragic event.

As part of the standard procedure, the CHP is reviewing all factors that may have contributed to the crash. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration statistics highlight speeding as a leading cause of fatal automobile accidents, in addition to impairment by alcohol, drugs, distracted driving, and failing to adhere to traffic lanes or yielding the right of way.

Families of the deceased may pursue a wrongful death claim once the investigation provides more clarity on the accident’s causation and liability.
