Two Killed in Multi-Car Collision in Baldwin Hills, California

A severe three-car accident in the Baldwin Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles has resulted in the deaths of two people, local authorities confirmed. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the incident occurred just before 3 p.m., involving a high-speed Mercedes Benz with two passengers on board. The vehicle reportedly lost control on La Brea Avenue at the intersection with Coliseum Street.

The Mercedes was headed northbound when it crashed into a car that was preparing to execute a left turn onto Coliseum Street. The impact caused the Mercedes to overturn and strike another vehicle in the vicinity, ultimately coming to rest on its roof. Tragically, both individuals within the Mercedes, identified as an adult male and an adult female, succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Police noted that both were of African-American descent.

Those in the other two cars involved experienced minor injuries and received medical attention immediately at the crash site. No additional hospitalizations were reported.

The investigation into the exact causes of the crash is ongoing, with preliminary findings indicating that the speed of the Mercedes may have been a contributing factor. The Los Angeles Police Department is urging any witnesses or persons with further information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
