Three Deputies Wounded in Collision on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 20, 2024) — In the early hours of Monday, a collision involving two deputy patrol cars resulted in three deputies sustaining injuries. The incident took place at the intersection of Beverly Boulevard and Hillview Avenue while the officers were en route to a reported shooting at Los Arcos Restaurant located on Whittier Boulevard.

The collision occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m. according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. The deputies were traveling in separate vehicles when they collided at the aforementioned location, roughly a mile from the initial shooting incident. The impact of the crash caused one patrol car to veer into a nearby building, whereas the other struck and knocked over a traffic signal.

Emergency response teams, including the Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics, arrived swiftly at the scene to offer assistance. The injured deputies were transported to an area hospital to receive the necessary medical attention. Details regarding the shooting that prompted the deputies’ response were limited, but it was confirmed that two individuals from that incident sought medical help at a hospital.
