Los Angeles [US], June 6: Actress Nina Dobrev has been hospitalized following a bicycle accident in Los Angeles. Dobrev, best known for her role in “The Vampire Diaries,” suffered injuries requiring surgery, which, according to reports, was completed successfully.
In a post on her social media, Dobrev expressed her gratitude for the well-wishes she received: “Thank you to everyone who has been sending kind messages, thoughts, prayers, and good vibes,” adding that she has felt the support and positive energy. Details of the accident were scant, but the actress communicated that the surgery went well, and she is now recovering.
On May 20, prior to her operation, Dobrev mentioned on her Instagram Story that she was apprehensive about the upcoming procedure. She expressed a common fear of needles and medical procedures but did not provide specific information about the nature of her injuries at that time. It was revealed that the incident involved an e-bike and resulted in her being admitted to a hospital. The initial revelation was made through a comparison of before-and-after photos – one showing her riding the bike and another portraying her in a hospital bed, equipped with a neck brace and splint.
