Los Angeles, CA (June 22, 2024) – A tragic car accident occurred early Saturday morning near Los Angeles International Airport, resulting in two deaths and leaving two others with severe injuries. The collision happened at about 3 a.m. on the westbound 105 Freeway, specifically at the Nash Street offramp. Authorities report that in the course of the incident, one of the vehicles plummeted from the offramp and landed on another car situated within the FedEx Air Freight employee parking lot at LAX.
The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to overturn and subsequently catch fire. While the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, preliminary assessments suggest that high speed may have been a contributing factor. The names of the deceased and injured have not been released, as officials are in the process of notifying next of kin.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the vehicles engulfed in flames and immediately worked to extinguish the fire and extricate the victims. The injured individuals were quickly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. The condition of these two individuals has not been disclosed as of the latest reports.
