A collision between a University of Southern California (USC) bus and a Metro E line train in Los Angeles necessitated medical attention for 16 individuals late Tuesday morning. The incident took place at approximately 11:54 a.m. on Exposition Boulevard, an area flanked by Normandie Avenue and Figueroa Street in close proximity to the USC campus.
The impacted Metro E line is a transit route extending from Santa Monica to East Los Angeles. During the event, the USC-operated transport bus was reported to have at least two passengers: one was treated for minor injuries, and the other for moderate injuries, which resulted in hospitalization for both individuals.
Multiple passengers aboard the train reported injuries, confirmed by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). Among the affected, nine individuals opted for hospital transportation, while around 15 received onsite medical treatment. The train was carrying about 30 passengers at the time of the accident.
