Los Angeles Pedestrian Fatality Reported on 101 Freeway

LOS ANGELES, CA — Tragedy struck on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles when Miguel Durazo, Jr., a 42-year-old pedestrian, was fatally struck by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2024. The incident occurred along the southbound lanes near North Los Angeles Street at approximately 1:45 p.m.

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner identified the victim and has reported that the cause of death was due to blunt force trauma resulting from the collision. The authorities have yet to release information regarding the driver involved in the accident.
