WEST ADAMS, CA (April 12, 2024) – A fatal car crash in West Adams, Los Angeles claimed the life of 37-year-old Leonardo Sanchez Palomar late Thursday night, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner confirmed.
The collision occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. in the 4800 block of Adams Boulevard and Harcourt Avenue. Palomar was operating a vehicle when another car, driven at high speed, crashed into him. The impact of the crash caused Palomar’s vehicle to collide with a nearby building. Despite the medical efforts, Palomar succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities report the driver responsible for the crash fled the location prior to their arrival. The identification and apprehension of the hit-and-run driver are underway as law enforcement officials continue their investigation.
