Fatal Motorcycle Collision Claims Woman’s Life on 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills

WOODLAND HILLS, CA (June 5, 2024) — A female motorcyclist in her 30s was tragically killed in a collision on the 101 Freeway on Tuesday evening. The crash occurred near the De Soto Avenue off-ramp around 5:00 p.m. Initial reports indicate that the motorcycle was involved in a first collision, followed by a secondary impact from another vehicle.

Emergency personnel discovered the woman lying unresponsive on the ground. Despite prompt medical attention, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has been kept confidential pending family notification. Following the accident, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) temporarily shut down all but one lane of the eastbound 101 Freeway at Topanga Canyon Boulevard for investigation and clean-up.
