LOS ANGELES, CA (April 17, 2024) – In a tragic turn of events on Thursday night, Leonardo Sanchez Palomar, aged 37, was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Los Angeles. The collision happened around 11:30 p.m. on the 4800 block of Adams Boulevard, at the intersection with Harcourt Avenue.
Local law enforcement confirmed that a vehicle, reportedly speeding significantly, struck another car, after which the first vehicle veered off the road and into a nearby building. The authorities, upon their arrival, discovered the driver of the second car, Leonardo Sanchez Palomar, fatally injured and he was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the speeding vehicle is currently being sought by the police after fleeing the scene on foot. Investigations are ongoing, and law enforcement is appealing for eyewitnesses to come forward with any information that might aid in apprehending the suspect.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has confirmed the identity of the victim. The law enforcement continues to investigate the case and has promised to release further details to the public as they emerge.
