Fatal Forklift Incident on North Moraga Drive Claims Tony Gallegos’s Life

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 7, 2024) – A tragic work-related accident claimed the life of 42-year-old Tony Gallegos in Bel Air on Monday afternoon. The incident took place in the 900 block of North Moraga Drive, near Bellagio Road, around 1:30 p.m.

Police arrived at the scene to find Gallegos pinned beneath a steel rebar that had been carried by a forklift. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Gallegos succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner has since confirmed the identity of the worker. An inquiry into the cause of the accident is ongoing, with investigators working to piece together the events leading up to the fatal incident.

The area was cordoned off by emergency crews to conduct necessary clearing operations, and motorists were directed away from the site to ensure the smooth conduct of investigation and clearing processes.
