South Los Angeles, CA (May 3, 2024) – A deadly collision occurred on the I-105 Freeway late Thursday evening in the Athens area of South Los Angeles. According to local authorities, a Prius came to an unexpected stop in the high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane west of Vermont Avenue at approximately 10:44 p.m. This led to a subsequent vehicle crashing into the stationary Prius, which then burst into flames.
