Los Angeles, CA (April 25, 2024) – A police pursuit in the Central-Alameda neighborhood of South Los Angeles ended in a fatal collision early Wednesday morning. Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division reported engaging in a vehicle chase at approximately 6:12 a.m. related to a suspected burglary or assault case. The pursuit was short-lived, lasting a mere two minutes before the suspect’s vehicle crashed at the crossroads of E 45th Street and Hooper Avenue.
The aftermath of the crash left one individual deceased and at least one vehicle capsized. LAPD is actively investigating the detailed circumstances that precipitated this deadly event and is working to determine the full sequence of events leading to the accident.
