Deadly South L.A. Collision Claims One Life, Injures Two Including Child

In a tragic incident in South Los Angeles, a person lost their life and two others were seriously injured in a collision on Thursday night. The suspected hit-and-run accident occurred near the 5200 block of South Figueroa Street in the Vermont Square neighborhood. First responders arrived at the site around 9:30 p.m. to a devastating scene.

The Los Angeles Fire Department promptly responded to the emergency, discovering three individuals in need of medical attention. One victim was declared deceased at the location of the mishap. The surviving victims included a man estimated to be in his 20s, who was evaluated to be in serious-to-critical condition, and a young boy, about five years old, whose injuries were assessed as moderate.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident as a potential hit-and-run, prompted by accounts from witnesses who reported observing an individual fleeing the scene of the crash.
