Cyclist Fatality: Hit-and-Run Incident on Wilmington Boulevard in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA (April 12, 2024) – A fatal accident occurred on Thursday evening when a vehicle struck a bicyclist and fled the scene. The Los Angeles Police Department is currently on the search for the suspect involved in the incident. The dreadful hit-and-run took place at approximately 8:45 p.m. at the crossroads of Wilmington Boulevard and West G Street.

The LAPD and emergency services arrived at the scene to find the bicyclist with serious injuries. Despite the immediate medical attention provided, the victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The driver responsible for the collision has not been located, and the LAPD is calling for witnesses who may have any information regarding the crash or the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward. It is believed that the vehicle in question may have sustained front-end damage from the impact of the crash.
