In two separate incidents, the Castle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles has been marked by a tragic death and a significant vehicular accident.
A tragic discovery was made at the junction of National Boulevard and Castle Heights where an unresponsive woman was found adjacent to a parked car at approximately 11:41 a.m. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were the first on the scene, swiftly followed by the Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. Authorities have initiated a death investigation but have not released additional information at this juncture.
Later in the afternoon, at around 2:50 p.m., a serious traffic incident occurred. A small sedan is reported to have careered off the westbound 10 Freeway at the National Boulevard exit before rolling over. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed details of the accident but reported that upon their arrival, the sedan’s occupant had absconded from the scene on foot. The condition of the driver, whether there were any passengers at the time of the crash, and the cause of the rollover are currently unknown.
The CHP continues to seek the driver involved in the freeway incident. They are calling for any witnesses or individuals with information pertinent to the crash to come forward. Inquiries and relevant details should be directed to the West Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
