Bus Hijacking in Los Angeles Leads to Anai Lindsey’s Arrest

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 25, 2024) — In downtown Los Angeles, a shocking incident rattled the area around Georgia Street and Olympic Boulevard when 24-year-old Anai Lindsey from Nevada was involved in the hijacking of a Metro bus. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that Lindsey, armed with a firearm, coerced the bus driver into losing control, causing the bus to collide with several parked cars.

The crash occurred late on Wednesday at approximately 11:40 p.m., near The Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The resulting chaos led to moderate injuries for the bus driver and one female passenger. A black Mercedes-Benz sedan, an SUV, and another black Mercedes were among the vehicles damaged in the series of impacts.

In the aftermath, Lindsey fled the scene but was apprehended within an hour while attempting to make an escape on a bicycle. Los Angeles authorities have since taken Lindsey into custody and are pressing charges related to the hijacking and subsequent crash.

The LAPD urges anyone with further information regarding the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
